Footloose shows strong growth
The Eindhoven Student Dance Company Footloose has grown considerably since 2003. Whereas its membership was around 150 then, there are now between 225 and 300 members. This was caused mainly by the introduction of salsa courses, in the season 2003/2004. Another factor is the popularity of the TV program Dancing with the Stars, which has boosted the demand for beginners’ courses. Chairman Richard Mulders expects the membership to rise towards 300 again by next February, because new courses will start then. For those courses there is a waiting list of 30 even now.
