Best Brabant graduation films in TAC
22 oktober 2009 - Up to and including 17 November the annual festival ‘Film in Brabant: Kort’ will take place again, featuring the best that Brabant has to offer in the field of the short film. Every year beautiful graduation films are made, which fully deserve being viewed beyond the circles of graduation presentations.
A shot from the short film ‘Cardboard’.

At various locations in Brabant the graduation work will be shown, made by students from AKV St. Joost, the Design Academy, Willem de Kooning Academy and the Netherlands Film and Television Academy (NFTA). Earlier this month they were already up at the Eindhoven theater Plaza Futura, but for anyone who may have missed it (or just cannot get enough of it), the program will be repeated in the Temporary Art Centre (TAC) on Thursday 29 October.

This year one of the films shown is the fiction film ‘Bingo’ by Timur Ismailov, which tells the story of an illegal Moldavian living in the Netherlands. He keeps fighting for and believing in his dreams. This year, too, exceptional animated cartoons have been made, including ‘Cardboard’ by Sjors Vervoort (AKV St. Joost). ‘Cardboard’ consists of twelve hundred photos and eight hundred boxes and is a feast for the eye. The film program will take 75 minutes altogether. After every showing one of the makers will be interviewed. In short: the class of 2009 has yielded a creative and varied program. Be surprised and get acquainted with the film makers of the future. (RS)/.

Thursday 29 October as of 20.30 hours TAC, Vonderweg 1, Eindhoven. Free admission.
