Harvard professor speaks at the Dommel

22 oktober 2009 - Tomorrow, Friday 23 October, David A. Weitz, professor of applied physics at Harvard University, will present the second lecture from the series ‘Aan de Dommel’, organized by TU/e’s Institute for Complex Molecular Systems (ICMS). The Canadian/American Weitz (1951) is an expert in the field of microfluidics: fluid flows on a micrometer scale. His research group at Harvard conducts research into subjects such as microgels, drops, fluid flows on chips, networks of biomolecules and the behavior of enzymes. The lecture ‘Dripping, Jetting, Drops and Wetting, The Magic of Microfluidics’ is freely accessible for anyone interested (lecture hall AUD4, 23 October, 14.30 hours). (TJ)
