The 84 space boxes built on the TU/e grounds in 2005 that are mainly inhabited by international students were permitted to remain at that location for five years only. This means that they will have to go in 2010, as student site Shift040 has recently reported. University secretary ir. Harry Roumen guarantees that a decent solution will be found for the students now occupying these cabins.
Industrial Design to cooperate with Japanese top university

On Monday 26 October TU/e signed a cooperation agreement in Japan with the renowned Keio University. The Department of Industrial Design (ID) intends to exchange knowledge and people with this Japanese university. The signing coincided with a visit to Tokyo by Prime Minister Balkenende and Minister for Education Plasterk.
