11 februari 2010 - TU/e researchers Nico Sommerdijk and Erwin Kessels have been granted Vici subsidies by the NWO. Sommerdijk will use the 1.5-million-euro subsidy for the next five years to conduct research into the mechanisms of bone growth. Kessels wants to make results of nanotechnology ready for production. The Vici subsidies of the NWO are intended for researchers who have obtained their PhDs within the last fifteen years at the latest. The subsidies provide them with an opportunity to build up their own research groups.
