I Wonder how...

Not so much a question this week, but a suggestion from the Iranian PhD student Iman Mossavat: “Can you maybe write about sports that international students can do? You know, not all cultures are as sporty as the Dutch! TU/e has great programs, but some are less known.”

The extensive range of sports lessons offered by the Student Sports Center is to be found on www.tue.nl/sportcentrum (go to English - ‘Range of Sports’ or ‘Class Timetable’). If you do not have a sports card yet, you can buy one for 25 euro. It will give you access to the Sport Center until August. Until July 5 you can still take part in the regular lessons or in special courses. There will be enough going on during the holidays too, so you can go in for sports like fitness, squash, swimming, tennis all summer. By prior arrangement you can use a sports hall. Golf is also one of the options; if you have a sports card, you can buy a ball card for 7.50 euro for Driving Range Dommelvallei, a golf course within walking distance from the Sports Center. More information about this can also be found on the website. (SK)
