New strategy TU/e requires substantial investment
3 juni 2010 - Last week the initial impetus for a new strategic plan for TU/e for the next ten years was the subject of debate. Highlights: English will be the language of communication, there will be four cross-Departmental themes, the intake of students, women and foreigners must be raised considerably, an Engineering College will be established for excellent Bachelor students and an institute for lifelong learning. Costs: six to seven hundred million euro.

Awards for the best TU/e graduates and students
3 juni 2010 - On Thursday 10th June TU/e will announce the winners of the best Final Project, the best design and the best doctoral project over 2009. In addition, the winner of the Perspective Award will be announced - the most promising research project for society in the future. The Rector Magnificus will present these academic annual awards in the Blauwe Zaal as of 15.00 hours.

Look Who’s Talking
3 juni 2010 - On June 18th, 19th and 20th volleyball teams from all over Europe will be heading towards the TU/e campus for the annual Hajraa tournament. If the program features sport, party, World Cup football, beer and hopefully nice weather, anyone can have a good time. Anyhow, you do not need to be a genuine volleyball buff for that.

TU/e ‘not on hold’ for group match Holland
3 juni 2010 - The Executive Board is studying the possibility of organizing something on Monday afternoon June 14th around the first group match of the Dutch team in the World Cup soccer. University secretary ir. Harry Roumen emphasizes that the university will not be ‘halted’ for this.
“I cannot say that everybody is at liberty to take half a day off for this, but I do think that we should try and deal with it in a playful manner of some sort.”

Dialogue meetings about Charcoal sketch
3 juni 2010 - In the coming weeks the Regiegroep Strategie TU/e 2020 (Control Group) will during three dialogue meetings present the Charcoal sketch it has drafted for the TU/e Strategy 2020 to students, staff members and to professors, administrators and managers of TU/e. The language of communication will in principle be English.
