Lin Pender is from Scotland and is telling us about the weekly drinks night of Eindhoven meetup. “Eindhoven meetup is meant for all expats and their partners in Eindhoven. Via the website www.meetup.com/eindhoven we announce our activities. In any case we go out for a drink at café Stads in Paradijslaan every Friday night (see photo). When I had just come to live in Eindhoven, I had very little to do. There was a moment when I went to the supermarket three times a day, simply to be able to say hello to some people!” Eindhoven meetup is a very easy way to get in touch with other people.

Arlen van Rens, a student of Architecture, Building and Planning, tells us that there is live music at café Centraal in Markt square every Tuesday night. “That is really great! There’s a band as well as a group of different male and female singers. They sing along with the band in turn.” Arlen impresses upon us not to forget to order nachos with your beer.

Rudmer Buruma of Mechanical Engineering and Stef de Vos of Architecture, Building and Planning tell us about cocktail bar Mundial in Dommelstraat and ‘t Vonderke in Lodewijk Napoleon square. “‘t Vonderke, that’s the place to be when PSV are playing. Before the match begins, the place is crammed with PSV fans! Even if you’re not a fan yourself, the atmosphere alone is fun enough to go and have a look.”
