The members from countries such as Finland and Macedonia enjoyed the typical Dutch tradition, with poems and presents that were given. They also enjoyed their ‘pepernoten’, chocolate letters and some Dutch Sinterklaas-songs, some non-Dutch members even sang right along. “It isn’t so difficult”, a Finnish member Risto Koivunen explained, “if you know Dutch words such as ‘Sinterklaas’, ‘Zwarte Piet’ or ‘Spanje’ (Spain).”
