This was the second time the prizes were awarded and also the second time someone from the Department of Technology Management (TM) won the prize; last year Nuvolari’s colleague prof.dr. Chris Snijders won the prize for best bachelor teacher. Nuvolari is assistant professor in Snijders’ research group and teaches the course ‘Perspectives on the European knowledge based economy’ in TM’s School of Innovation Sciences. He supervises a research project on patent citations for which he secured a Veni grant in 2006.
“Nuvolari connects his course material to research and regularly invites guest lecturers. (…) Students are challenged to take part in the academic debate on evolutionary economy”, said Van Duijn. “Nuvolari is a committed tutor and lecturer who regards education as a matter of central importance.”
The prize for best bachelor teacher went to associate professor dr.ir. Ron Peerlings from the Department of Mechanical Engineering./.
