Traffic problems campus due to green wave
28 januari 2010 - The municipality of Eindhoven will in the short term try to find a solution for the heavy traffic at the exit of the university grounds at De Zaale. Especially at the end of the day a long queue of waiting cars tends to build up before the barriers these days. This is caused by the traffic lights along the ring road, of which the green interval has been considerably reduced for several weeks now.

The municipality acknowledges the problem and will look into the whole traffic situation again at the beginning of February. Municipal ‘traffic controller’ Leon van den Biggelaar admits that it is clear that the attunement at the crossroads of the ring road with De Zaale and Javalaan is still far from ideal. He expects that the traffic lights will be set differently even before the Carnival, by mid-February.
