New part-time professor for analysis of medical images
28 januari 2010 - The Biomedical Engineering Department has appointed dr.ir. Marcel Breeuwer part-time professor in the section of Biomedical Image Analysis. At Philips Healthcare Breeuwer is leading a team that focuses on medical imaging techniques.

According to Bart ter Haar Romenij, leader of the Biomedical Image Analysis section, Breeuwer is a heavyweight in the research into analysis of images of the cardiovascular system. The new part-time professor has been involved in the processing of audio, video and medical images within Philips ever since 1985.
