Feel good movie

The Indian community at TU/e invites everyone to the Indian feel good movie: ‘Taare Zamen Par’ or ‘Every child is special’ from director Aamir Khan. One of the messages of this movie is that nothing is impossible. ‘This is the first time we organize this, but we plan to make it a regular event,’ tells Chattarbir Singh of the TU/e Indian community.Main character is Ishaan Awasthi, an eight year old, who has a world filled with wonders that no one else seems to appreciate. Poor Ishaan who just cannot seem to get anything right in class or at home has to be packed off to a boarding school to ‘be disciplined‘ which brings only added trauma of separation from his family. One day a new art teacher bursts onto the scene, Ram Shankar Nikumbh, who infects all the students with joy and optimism except Ishaan. Nikumbh realizes that Ishaan is very unhappy and ultimately helps Ishaan find himself.
