22 april 2010 - Thursday April 15 there was commotion at the space boxes behind the Potentiaal building of the Department of Electrical Engineering. Five ambulances had turned out to provide assistance at an emergency. University secretary ir. Harry Roumen restricts himself to saying that attempts have been made to resuscitate the daughter of a PhD candidate employed at TU/e. According to Roumen these attempts were unfortunately in vain. As this is a personal matter, the university is not giving any further comment on the incident, Roumen informs us. On Tuesday April 20 a memorial service for the girl was held in the LaPlace building. (HK)
