    Four questions for….
    Marion de Groot (28),
Student assistant T!NT and a student of humanism in Utrecht
2 december 2010 - What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
“The only thing that you really must do, is breathe. I got this piece of advice from my aunt, among other things. She also told me to go and count the number of things that I obliged myself to do in one day. Last year I really had my life lived for me: T!NT, my traineeship, my study, a sideline. Now I am still busy, but the things I do are more of my own choosing.”

What is the most pleasant place for you?
“De Groote Peel. Don’t you know that area? It is soooo beautiful! I often used to go there with my parents in my childhood and I keep going back to it. A fantastic, comforting environment with peat and moor. You can make beautiful walks there.”

In whose boots would you like to be for a day?
“I would like to experience what it is like to be homeless. What it feels like to have no possessions. The other day I bought a new coat and I am truly pleased with it. At the same time, possessions tend to make you dependent. If some- thing breaks down or gets lost, it immediately affects your mood. I am curious what it would be like to have virtually nothing.”

Who at TU/e deserves a pat on the back and why?
“That’s an easy one, for me that is Indre Kalinauskaite (student assistant STU, ed.).
We talk a lot about our work as student assistants, which is very inspiring. She is creative, is always brimming with ideas and also listens to other people’s ideas. Moreover, she always commits herself with absolute conviction to projects that she undertakes, such as the common room.” (HB)
