3 februari 2011 - The Executive Board has made a budget of five thousand euro available for the Common Room in 2011. This amount has been earmarked for the operation of and activities in this meeting space in de Bunker. The Common Room opened its doors last October and is used especially by international TU/e students and staff members as a meeting place. According to volunteer Marius Lazauskas (a Master student of Architecture, Building and Planning) it meanwhile attracts a fairly large group of regular visitors. Apart from that, activities are organized more and more often that are to attract a broader public, such as a games night, a film marathon or a jam session. In addition, since last week it has been the venue for monthly meetings of partners of TU/e expats. (SK)
