For foreign students it is often difficult to plan activities apart from their studies, but fortunately there are still students who do succeed in planning studies and activities side by side. How do they manage this? And why do they find it so important to do more than studying alone?

More than three hundred guests attended the Brainport barbecue on Thursday June 23. Until 22.00 hours visitors could get free drinks and barbecue snacks. Apart from the barbecue a quiz was held which involved actively looking for other people; the questions posed could not be solved by guests alone. The winners went home carrying tickets to the Efteling or book vouchers worth 50 euro.
More expensive residence permit for student and scientist considered outrage

Universities, universities of applied sciences and students are outraged: minister Leers of Immigration will be increasing the rates for scientists and students who want to come to the Netherlands. The new rates for entry visas and residence permits will be effective from July 1 – that’s next Friday. Extensions will also come to be more expensive.
