They may be ravishingly beautiful and famous, but actually soap stars are just thick broads with sawdust for brains and silicone breasts. This is the prejudice featuring prominently in the film ‘Interview’ by film maker Theo van Gogh, and of course it is emasculated mercilessly. The American remake of the film will be shown in De Zwarte Doos on Thursday 20, Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 September. Here, too, a cynical, prejudiced journalist (played by actor Steve Buscemi) has to interview a female soap star (a role off Sienna Miller). The interview results in interviewer and interviewee playing cat and mouse: who is doing the interviewing and who turns out to be the cat, who the mouse? Start: 20.00 hours.
