At Harvard University, in front of the building of the Department of Architecture, Building and Planning, prof.dr. Annelies van Bronswijk, professor of Health Sciences, was awarded the Ig Nobel Prize for Biology on Thursday 4 October for her many years of research into all kinds of flora and fauna in the architectural environment. The Ig Nobel Prize is the frivolous counterpart of the real Nobel Prize and is awarded annually for achievements that ‘first make people laugh, and then make them think’. |
