23 oktober 2008 - Prof. dr. Ed Brinksma, scientific director of the Embedded Systems Institute, will this week be appointed Rector Magnificus of the University of Twente (UT). As at 1 January he will succeed Henk Zijm. Apart from his work at the ESI, Brinksma is part-time professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science of the UT and a member of the Department of Formal Methods. The tasks of the new Rector Magnificus will be to propagate the profile of the UT and to develop its future vision further.
