A group of fifty foreign students from all over Europe is visiting the Dutch student towns of Eindhoven, Enschede and Groningen during a ‘Holland 3d’ trip, getting to know the three dimensions of the economy, politics and culture in the Netherlands. The debates are in English and there is room for sixty extra students. The previous edition of this debate attracted 80 participants, many of them international Master students.
Various guest speakers are expected. Christian Democrat Lambert van Nistelrooij, a member of European Parliament, will speak on European politics and the European constitution. TU/e Professor Johan Schot will take on the culture and technology theme. A speaker from Rabomobiel will talk about payment by mobile phone. Each speaker will put forward a proposition for which the pros and cons can be argued. There will be prizes for argumentation and presentation/style.
After the debate everyone will be moving to Café Stratum at Stratumseind for a drink./.
