18 maart 2010 - Next month prof. dr. Jos Baeten, vice-dean of the Department of Mathematics & Computer Science, will take over the chair in Systems Engineering at the Department of Mechanical Engineering from prof. dr. ir. Koos Rooda, who will be accorded emeritus status. Baeten: “I have been affiliated with this Department for nineteen years and was ready for a new challenge. The chair held by Rooda, Systems Engineering, devotes most of its attention to writing control software. There is nothing odd, then, about a computer scientist taking over this chair. Having said that, I must admit that I still need to familiarize myself with the full scope of mechanical engineering.”
