    Book week

Since 1932 the Netherlands has had a Book week, which lasts ten days: from March 16 to 26. The Book week is organized to promote the (Dutch) book. During this week book shops give customers who spend € 12.50 or more the free Book week gift. This year the gift is entitled ‘De kraai’ (the crow) by Kader Abdolah. Every year the Book week has a different theme. In 2011 it is books about people of flesh and blood. People we admire or detest, people with a story to tell.
