Importance international education discussed during CHEOPS education week

‘Internationalization is essential for the growing process of the TU/e.’ ‘English will raise the academic level.’ These are just two of the propositions heard during the debate on Internationalization. This debate, which was held on Thursday 22 November, formed part of the education week organized by the Structural Engineer Student Faculty Association CHEOPS.

Every year hundreds of thousands of people fall victim to war or other disasters. Often it takes a long time for relief efforts to get off the ground and victims are forced to live in emergency shelters under poor conditions for many years. Research proposals aimed at changing this situation were discussed during ‘Innovative Sheltering’, a three-day symposium of the Red Cross in cooperation with the TU/e, which was held on the TU/e campus from Wednesday 21 thru Friday 23 November.
International students difficult target group for Recruitment Days

The organization wants more participation from international students during the Recruitment Days. This event, which helps students find internships or jobs, is getting sufficient interest: at earlier editions of the event many Dutch and international students registered for the various activities. Unfortunately only a handful of the latter group actually showed up.
