Studying or working abroad can have a major impact. You need to get acquainted with another culture and with new social contacts. In this first issue of the four-part series ‘New to the Netherlands’ the Indian student Shubhendu Sinha (22) recounts some of his experiences. Last year he came to Eindhoven for the Master’s Program Embedded Systems.

If the interest in your activities increases continually, drastic measures are sometimes unavoidable. Meeting and reflection association T!NT (located in the Bunker) last Wednesday pulled down a partition wall in order to convert its two separate rooms into one big room.
Cycling through the Netherlands: join in if you wish

It was a spontaneous idea that was born within an unofficial friendly cricket club: ‘let’s explore the Netherlands while cycling. Anyone who wants to can join in’. Which is how one Dutch and sixteen Indian Master students of TU/e got onto their bikes on Saturday 28 August. Destination: Den Bosch. Distance: manipulated to one hundred kilometers.
