    Language exchange at T!NT
27 januari 2011 - Learn each other's language in couples: that is the idea of the 'Intercambio' to be organized by social club T!NT on Wednesday February 2. Anyone who wants to learn a language or improve their proficiency, and also wants to help someone else to learn a language, can register. The meeting will start with a meal.

During the evening participants will be joined with a language buddy by T!NT on the basis of their language requirements. What languages will be exchanged will depend on the people who register. At this moment there are participants who already speak Dutch, English, Spanish or German, and perhaps French. The idea is for you to speak your own language for half of the evening (to help your buddy) and your buddy's language during the other half.

T!NT hopes that especially Dutch students will register. "The Eat&Meet nights are frequented in particular by foreign students. I should like it if this evening would lead to more Dutch people integrating with them," explains Anne Diepenbrock, who is organizing the evening as a result of her study of Applied Psychology. There will be a follow-up evening on March 16, and she hopes that buddy couples will continue their language exchange under their own steam afterwards. "It can be very useful, for example when you want to do a traineeship abroad." (SK)

The evening begins at 18.30 hours with a meal (costs: € 3.50). At 20.00 hours the Intercambio will start. Register via tint@tue.nl, stating which language you want to learn /practice and which language you speak fluently yourself. Follow-up evening: March 16.
