Year of the Rat off to a good start at TU/e
14 februari 2008 - Spring Festival or Chinese New Year is the one time of the year that many people in China get to see their families. We all saw the images on the news of people all over China trying to make it home despite heavy snowfall. However, the trip from Europe is often too difficult for Chinese students and staff at TU/e. But even though they miss their families, they still get together with Chinese, Asian and other friends to mark the beginning of the new lunar year.

14 februari 2008 - Students knocking back more than twenty glasses of alcohol per week score below average for examinations. This conclusion was published by the Nijmegen university newspaper Vox after having conducted its own Internet survey among 550 students.

Psychologist advocates later choice of study
14 februari 2008 - Youngsters should not choose their study until they are twenty-one years old. Prior to that time they lack the self-knowledge to arrive at a sound decision. Development psychologist Michiel Westenberg alleged this in a foundation day speech at the University of Leiden on 8 February.
