Social isolation is a risk incurred by many foreign TU/e staff members, says a survey into the pressure of work at the university that was held two years ago. Often these persons plunge deeply into their work, because it proves difficult to establish social contacts. The TU/e hopes to change this by launching an on-line ‘TU/e Meetingplace’, which is intended to be a stepping stone towards more ‘face-to-face’ contacts with others on and around the Eindhoven campus. |
