Amel Donko (24) from Bosnia, a third-year student of Electrical Engineering

When taken?
This picture was taken on Wednesday September 9th, when soon after sunset students from different backgrounds gathered for a delicious meal in café T!NT in the Bunker. Mosaic (of which I am one of the committee members), HSR and T!NT organized this Iftar to create a forum where students from different countries and religions can meet.

What do we see?

Students from different backgrounds come together to take part. This time there was an Iraqi/Bosnian meal featuring many different kinds of food. In addition, the background shows the poster of the fund-raising drive for the surviving women from Srebrenica. An amount of 157 euro was collected. The National Committee for international cooperation and Sustainable Development is going to double that amount.

Why this picture?
This photo clearly shows the multicultural nature of the Iftar, and the congenial atmosphere between people from different origins. Most of the sixty people present stayed on long after dinner for a cozy dialogue. This made our Iftar into a great success.
