‘Health’ krijgt drie themaleiders

12 mei 2011 - Voor ‘Health’, naast ‘Energy’ en ‘Smart Mobility’ het derde speciale aandachtsgebied van de TU/e, zijn maandag 9 mei door het College van Bestuur drie themaleiders benoemd.

Voor het thema ‘smart environment’ is dat dr.ir. Caroline Hummels, opleidingsdirecteur bij de faculteit Industrial Design. Omdat dit thema een groot gebied beslaat geeft Hummels leiding aan een driemanschap, waar ook prof.dr.ir. Wil van der Aalst, hoogleraar Architectuur van Informatiesystemen, en prof.dr.ir. Pieter van Wesemael, hoogleraar Architectural Design & Engineering, deel van uitmaken.

Het thema ‘smart diagnosis’ is ondergebracht bij prof.dr.ir. Peter de With, hoogleraar Video Coding & Architectures. ‘Smart interventions’ gaat naar prof.dr. Carlijn Bouten, hoogleraar Cell-Matrix Interactions. Bouten krijgt daarbij de komende tijd ondersteuning van prof.dr. Keita Ito, hoogleraar Orthopaedic Biomechanics. (HK)

On Monday, May 9, the Executive Board appointed three theme leaders for ‘Health’, one of the three special areas of interest within TU/e - along with ‘Energy’ and ‘Smart Mobility’ . Leader for the theme ‘smart environment’ is dr.ir. Caroline Hummels, program director at the Department of Industrial Design. Prof.dr.ir. Peter de With, professor of Video Coding 7 Architectures, will be responsible for the theme ‘smart diagnosis’. For ‘Smart Interventions’, prof.dr. Carlijn Bouten, professor of Cell-Matrix Interactions was appointed.
