Participants included both Muslims and non-Muslims. They encompassed a large variety of nationalities, including Indonesians, Kurds, Pakistani, Moroccans and Dutch. According to Rebin Said, a Bachelor student of Electrical Engineering and secretary of Mosaic, the night was a success. Not only because there were more than fifty participants, but also because of the talks that took place between Muslims and non-Muslims during the meal. “This is precisely in keeping with Mosaic’s goal as a multicultural organization”, says Ali Ougajou, a Master student at the Department of Technology Management and candidate committee member of Mosaic.
This year the communal meal staged annually by Mosaic took place in the W-hal for the first time. The location was chosen once it appeared that the association could only use the Auditorium if the committee used caterer Albron.
