Océ pays TU/e Master’s program for fifty Asian students

Over the next five years Océ and the TU/e will attract fifty Asian students to Eindhoven to follow a Master’s program here and subsequently to work for Océ’s R&D department for at least three years. In return the students, ten per year, will be given a scholarship of 17,000 euros per year for two years by the printing and document management company. This scholarship is intended to cover tuition and fees as well as board and lodging expenses. In this way the company wants to attract specialists in the area of software and mechanical engineering, because there is a shortage of these in the Netherlands. Together Océ and TU/e will ‘select the best and brightest students from Asian countries’, according to the press report. Océ has not targeted any specific nationality, but it expects a lot of applications from India in particular, as Océ spokesman Freek Jochems informs us.
