Designers use ‘mood boards’, a kind of collages, at the beginning of a design process in order to communicate with clients or within a design team and reach agreement. Dr. Andres Lucero Vera has examined carefully how designers proceed in this respect and has designed and tested a ‘funky coffee table’ and a ‘funky interactive wall’ which designers can use when making mood boards. On Tuesday 31 March he defended his dissertation about this subject.
