On Thursday 10th June ir. Jos Reijnders from the Mechanical Engineering Department was presented with the Perspective Award by TU/e during the presentation of the Doctoral Awards. The researcher received a decoration and an amount of EUR 5000 for his design of a porous fuel injector that considerably reduces the soot emissions of diesel engines.

After the elections of 9th June an exciting phase is beginning: the formation of the new Cabinet (see also ‘I Wonder’). Not until the definitive coalition is known, will the government program for the coming years become clear. One of the things that future generations of students will have to deal with is whether the student grants will be converted to loans. This week’s speaker is Cyriel Prinsen, a Master student of Architecture. He is politically active for GroenLinks at the municipality of Eindhoven as member of the committee Space & Real Estate.
